Gilda’s Club Western New York, a cancer support community affiliated with Gilda’s Club Worldwide, was in need of a regionally-focused website that fit within the larger, North American organization’s design guidelines. They also needed a site that they could edit and control without a dedicated web staff. To accomplish those goals, Gilda’s Club Western New York turned to 360 PSG. After working with such local charitable organizations such as the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County and Leadership Buffalo, 360 PSG showed they had the knowhow to make Gilda’s Club’s site a success.

WASHINGTON - Internet commerce continues its robust growth, defying a sluggish economy that's teetering on recession, Google's chief economist and several analysts said Friday.
Electronic commerce has grown about 22 percent in the past two years, said Hal Varian, the economist, who spoke at a forum on the state of the Internet economy at Google's new Washington office. Ed Garrubbo, chairman of the Electronic Retailing Association, said online sales jumped 17 percent in the first quarter of this year.

More good news for the open source community just in: an analysis of its enterprise customers by OpenLogic found that for 2007 as a whole, the use of open source among enterprise customers is up 26% year-on-year. Enterprises on average used a whopping 94 different open source packages last year, compared to 75 in 2006…

The new Holy Grail, if you follow new things, is something I would like to officially term the Softwareless Office. At present, most any function that you might need a computer or working using that computer to accomplish, can be done with an application that is housed on the web and not resident as software. Last week, Walmart launched their online video download service. Immediately there were posts that the service did not work with the Firefox or Safari browsers. There was a collective, "WTF" when this happened as this is 2007, not 1997. Back then it was "accepted" for applications to work with only a specific browser or platform. Now it appears that reports are out that Walmart has turned off the ability to get into the application at all by Firefox, Safari or any other browser it does not like.
