Gilda's Club launches website focused on WNY

Gilda's Club Western New York, a cancer support community affiliated with Gilda's Club Worldwide, was in need of a regionally-focused website that fit within the larger, North American organization's design guidelines. They also needed a site that they could edit and control without a dedicated web staff. To accomplish those goals, Gilda's Club Western New York turned to 360 PSG. After working with such local charitable organizations such as the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County and Leadership Buffalo, 360 PSG showed they had the knowhow to make Gilda's Club WNY's site a success.

"Because we're part of a larger organization, we wanted to relaunch our website using a template provided by Gilda's Club Worldwide. We selected 360 PSG based on their work with other nonprofits and their content management system," said Mary Beth Karr, executive director of Gilda's Club Western New York.

With firm organizational guidelines in mind, 360 PSG's design staff created a website that incorporates all the functionality Gilda's Club WNY needed - the ability to change content on a day-to-day basis, add and advertise scheduled events like fundraisers, and spread and promote news from within the organization. 360 PSG's design staff also tailored their design to add a local flair to the Gilda's Club WNY site, meaning their site is not only part of the larger organization's vision.

Karr said the Gilda's Club WNY staff is pleased with the new website. "The 360 PSG staff worked closely with our staff to ensure the site's look and feel represent our organization well," she said.

360 PSG implemented their Fission Content Management System for the Gilda's Club WNY website, with all the functionality of a large corporation website, at a not-for-profit's budget level. After working with such local charitable organizations such as the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County and Leadership Buffalo, 360 PSG showed they had the knowhow to make Gilda's Club's site a success.
