• Look around - see what other websites do well and think how that idea can work for you.

• Think function - how do you use a website? Do you want eye candy or do you want to drive people to buy? There is a happy medium.

• Give feedback - the more you tell your designer, from what you like to what you don't, the better they can achieve your vision."
