Fission Dashboard Update: Submit An Idea

If you've been on the back end of your website recently, you may have noticed the addition of a light bulb icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen that reads, "Submit An Idea".

The Fission Web System recently implemented a new, fully integrated "feature request" system that is now available for our users on the latest version of our Content Management System to submit suggestions to the 360 PSG team for feature enhancements, system improvements and general "wouldn't it be awesome..." requests. Users on all other versions of the CMS should have access to the new feature very soon.

Here's how it works:

  1. Click on the light bulb icon and sign-in to submit an idea or request to the system.
  2. When you sign up, you are given 20 votes to distribute as you please. You may use all of your votes on your own ideas, or spread them around, assigning up to 3 votes (per click) to any submitted idea.
  3. Once you have used all 20 votes, that's it. In order to continue voting on new ideas you may reassign some votes from other ideas or wait for them to free up as older submissions (that you previously voted on) are developed and/or closed.
  4. Administrators then evaluate the suggestions and determine which ideas to implement based on the number of votes each idea received.

Why should you submit feedback?

Think back to any moment you wished your CMS could do something differently... from being able to customize your dashboard to simply changing an icon that you think doesn't make sense. Letting us know what you want is the first step to making it happen!
