360 PSG Social Media Seminar a Success
360 Professional Services Group held its first ever Social Media Seminar titled "Hype or Hope" Wednesday January 13, 2010 at the First Amherst Executive Conference Center. 360 PSG President and managing partner Joel Colombo treated thirty attendees from various local businesses to a two-hour presentation on the importance of social media.
Colombo covered five of the leading social media networks: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and blogs, touching on the basics of each from set up to the overall benefits of being social on the web.
"By identifying the commitments these social networks require, we are able to help small business owners and company marketing staff understand the true value to their businesses without getting caught up in too much 'Hype' within the fads," Colombo said.
Following the presentation Colombo fielded industry questions about social networks and the perks of adding these services to your website.
"Hype or Hope" introduced 360 PSG's capacity to help small to medium sized businesses grow on the web through social media starting in 2010. 360 PSG now offers a Social Media Plugged-In Package that creates Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts for clients and ties all of them together with the client's current website making maintenance relatively simple.
Colombo added, "The first social media seminar was so well received that we immediately opened up an encore presentation for those who got cut off. We definitely maxed out our seating capacity on the first one and even needed to find more chairs for walk-ins once we got going."
The second Social Media: "Hype or Hope?" seminar will be held Wednesday March 24th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the First Amherst Executive Conference Center. Please note that the second social media seminar is an encore of the first presentation and will cover the same information as the first.
